AoE Art Gifting Info

Welcome to the Gifting Service.  We'd like to offer the option for members to have artwork created by other members looking for some "Personal Practice". This means if you want to practice getting in to doing Commissions, prefer creating artwork for someone or simply want to give someone a lovely gift,  and vice versa, would like to have artwork created of your horse, we may just be able to help!

Important factors to consider;   This is not for characters, breed profiles or for stock images you've found elsewhere. This is for horses you know/own/lease/ride/look after and have a photograph of.

and;  This is not to gift to other people, only to the photograph owner.  Gifts must remain as gifts, not "also used for" something else.


What mediums can be used?  ;  Everything! Be creative!


You may submit up to 3 photography thumbs per horse via note;  artists-of-equus.deviantart.co…  

Give some general information about your horse.  Name, Age, Breed, Gender, Likes, Dislikes and what they are used for/do in life.

If your photograph is NOT stock

This is what we could prefer. State on the deviation it is for the Artists-of-Equus Gifting service, and state that the deviation is not stock and use is only permitted if gifting the artwork to yourself.
If you are able to,  place a watermark on the image (not DA's own) stating your website, studio name or your personal name to help identify the image. 

If your photograph IS used as stock

If you have images of your horses you like already used as stock, we request that you submit a new deviation and state it is for use of the Artists-of-Equus Gifting Service.  After that, you may link to the original stock image which will usually contain your personal stock rules.    We realise this may be a pain, however it will help us reduce the chance of all work in the 'Service' being perceived as stock.
 If you are able to,  place a watermark on the image (not DA's own) stating your website, studio name or your personal name to help identify the image.


If you wish to change your images or no longer take part, you may let us know via group notes.


Here is the list of artwork for Gifting use.   Contact the photograph owner for any extra needed details/angles.
